The 138th Canton Fair (China Import and Export Fair) closed in Guangzhou on the 4th. This session welcomed over 310,000 overseas buyers from 223 countries and regions, representing a 7.5% increase compared with the previous session and setting a new all-time high. The on-site tentative export turnover reached 25.65 billion US dollars.

Countries under the Belt and Road Initiative account for more than 60% of transaction volume; traditional markets maintain stable sales
This edition attracted more than 310,000 overseas buyers, up approximately 7.5% from the last fair. A total of 214,000 buyers came from Belt and Road countries, with a growth rate of 9.4%.
New trends are prominent: a high proportion of green products, products with independent intellectual property rights, and new-technology exhibits. Each category accounts for over 20% of all displayed goods.
A larger number of buyers means more potential customers. The diversified sources of buyers indicate that exporters should not only focus on the European and American markets. Buyers from Southeast Asia, Africa and Latin America are also worthy of attention.
For the first time at the 138th Canton Fair, QR code badges were adopted. Badge processing takes only 30 seconds, 6 times faster than before. Booth-level navigation powered by Bluetooth, 5G and Beidou technologies was launched to support one-click exhibition browsing and intelligent navigation. There were 632 new product launch events, with around 4.6 million exhibits showcased during the fair.
