Suixian County, Shangqiu, Henan Province, is located in the southern part of the North China Plain and has a temperate monsoon climate with four distinct seasons: hot summers with maximum temperatures exceeding 35°C and low humidity; cold and dry winters; windy springs; and mild autumns. Under such climatic conditions, ventilation and air quality in production workshops become crucial for ensuring worker comfort and production efficiency.
This shoe company is a key enterprise above a certain size in Suixian County, possessing a complete production process for casual shoes, ranging from cutting, sewing, molding, sole pressing to packaging. Its factory building is a multi-story reinforced concrete standard structure. The two workshops that require ventilation and cooling renovation this time cover a total area of approximately 12,000 square meters and have a floor height of 5.5 meters. The workshops are divided into functional areas such as the cutting area, sewing assembly line, bonding and assembly area, quality inspection and packaging area, etc. The overall layout is compact, belonging to a typical labor-intensive production environment. The equipment inside the workshops generates little heat, and the main heat source comes from nearly 800 employees in various positions, including cutting workers, sewing workers, bonding workers, assembly line operators, quality inspectors, packaging workers, and management personnel.
The design team for Ruifeng Environmental Protection's refrigeration solution comprehensively considered factors such as the dry climate characteristics of Suixian County, the structure of the factory building, the large workshop area but limited available ground space, and the dense and evenly distributed personnel. They abandoned the axial flow air cooler that occupies floor space and ultimately selected a system solution of high-power evaporative air cooler + uniform air distribution through ducts. This design precisely delivers cool air to each workstation through ducts, achieving "post-specific air distribution". It not only saves space but also greatly improves air distribution efficiency and coverage uniformity.
After the system was put into use, the temperature in the workshop was significantly reduced, and air circulation was continuously improved.
